Elizabeth Knespa Bjornberg

Elizabeth Knespa (Anderson) Bjornberg, was born in Lyons, Nebraska on July 27th, 1921 to Louise & Oscar Anderson and her siblings Jerome, Nelda, & Derwin. She graduated from Lyons High School, and went on to marry Harry Bjornberg.   Together, she and Harry had two daughters, Cheryl Beth & Diane Louise. After a few years she met and married Claus Matson, and gave birth to her third daughter Claudia Sue.

Later as a single parent, she put herself through nursing school, and earned her LPN     license. She was employed at The Children’s    Hospital, and also at Clarkson Hospital throughout her career. Later in life she remarried Harry Bjornberg, until he passed away in 2003. Shortly after, in 2004, she moved to Sacramento to live with her daughter Diane, where she remained until her passing.

Elizabeth was a grandmother of 8, a great grandmother of 25, and a great-great grandmother of 12. She will be remembered as a prime example of beauty, grace, gentleness, love, and strength. She will be greatly missed, but in of our hearts forever.
