Loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle & friend. Preceded in death by the love of his life, wife of 71 years, Dorothy. Survived by son Robert F. (Dennis), daughter Gerry, son James & granddaughter Danielle. Proud WWII naval veteran assigned to the USS Bandera. He was a retired engineer who worked for the US Army Corps of Engineers for 50 years. Always involved in his children’s activities. DeMolay Dad advisor, baseball & basketball coach, Cub Scout Pack Master & Campfire Girls Camp Minneluta renovation team. He was an avid Nature lover who imparted that love to his children & granddaughter. He was an adventurer who enjoyed visiting new places & learning about other cultures & their customs. A sweet & loving man who always welcomed his children’s friends into his home. His first priority was always spending time his family. He was a mentor to many. Donations in his memory may be made to the Hearing Loss Association of America or the Dementia Society of America.
