Barry Lee Peterson

Barry L. Peterson, 76, left us on Feb. 14, 2025 after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer’s. We take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering. Barry was born in Concord, CA. He worked for PASCO Scientific in Roseville, CA and Vision Care Devices in Redding, CA. He will be fondly remembered for his quick wit, strong will, sense of humor, and dedication to his family, friends, and everyone who loved him.

Barry is survived and lovingly remembered by his wife of 28 years and friend of 44 years, Denice Peterson, his children Robert and Brian Peterson, Stepchildren Kimberly Blackford and Martin Smith, Son-in-Law Joshua Blackford, Daughter-in-Law’s Hieu Peterson, Jamie Peterson and Angel Thayer-Smith, as well as his Grandchildren Christopher Mui, Seth and Trevor Peterson, Edie Smith, Ayden and Elise Blackford, Chase Pearson, and his Great Grandson Cash Pearson.

Barry was preceded in death by his parents Eugene (Pete) and Marcella Peterson, and his sister Stephanie Odom.

In honor of Barry’s wishes, there will not be Funeral services. He would like his family and friends to have a party that will be held on a future date. Barry found joy in life by reading, listening to music, hanging out at the lake, swimming, fishing, playing with his dogs, spending time with his family and friends and eating ice cream. The family asks you to do the same. Go out and do something that brings you joy and share it with those around you.
