Charles Leon Sutton

Charles Leon Sutton, 73, passed away February 13, 2026 in Sacramento,  California. Charles was born August 30, 1952, in Norfolk, Virginia to William and Helen Sutton. Charles married Susan Emery in 2011 but they have been together for over 30 years.

Charles was a U.S. Army veteran. He worked for Metro Mailing Service as a Pressman for over 30 years and happily retired. He loved to go to concerts, golf, bingo, bowl, fishing and sports. He was a devoted Raiders fan. His favorite baseball teams were the S.F. Giants and the Oakland A’s.  He loved his Raiders fanny pack and his many hats, and he never left home without both. He loved dearly his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Emery-Sutton, 5 sons, William, Charles Jr., Coby and Tony Sutton, all in TX, and Robert Emery of CA; 3 daughters, LaShanta Fondon, NV,  Linda Sparks and Paula Emery, Ca; 5 sisters, Joyce White, NC, Deborah Hart MD, Terry (Wendell) Smith, MD, Brenda Antar, MD, Linda Brown, MI; 1 brother, Kenneth Sutton, Washington, D.C.; a host of nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers, James, Donnie, Willie and Michael Sutton.

Charles will be remembered for his sense of humor and the ability to make even strangers laugh. He was very much loved and will be missed. The world was a better place with him in it.
