Dorothy Jeane Perry

Dorothy ‘Jeane’ Langford Perry passed away peacefully November 2, 2021 at the age of 89 after suffering her later years with dementia.  She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ray Arden Perry, her daughter Cydne Kay Perry Sapperstein and her son David Bradley Perry (Mary Ann).  Another son, Steven Kent Perry, preceded her in death in 1969.  Jeane leaves behind seven grandchildren – Devin Stuart (Kim), Steven Stuart, Haley Stuart Truettner (Charles), Stewart Perry, Chandler Perry (Rachael), Grant Perry, & Lauren Sapperstein.  She also leaves two great grandchildren – Jamie Stuart & Rylee Stuart.

Jeane was the daughter of Fountain and Dorothy Langford and grew up in Overton, Nevada with her five siblings.  She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  After attending business college, Jeane would meet and marry Ray and they would have three children together.  Jeane suffered great heartache when she lost her first son, Steven, to leukemia at the young age of eight.  Their family would live in Utah, Texas, Florida, Delaware, & Maine while in the Air Force and eventually settle in California for over 50 years.  Jeane loved traveling the world with her husband Ray, a Pan Am pilot.  Together they would spend their retirement years creating a beautiful vineyard and dream home in the Sierra Nevada foothills of Northern California. 

Jeane was a wonderful mother and grandmother, a gourmet cook, a master gardener and a creative idea person.    She could make magic happen with her hands and loved to share her talents with others.  She will be greatly missed by her family.
