Elizabeth (Betsy) Callahan, born October 16, 1930, passed away peacefully September 20, 2021 less than one month short of her 91st birthday. Betsy, a long-time resident of Eugene, Oregon and enthusiastic Ducks fan, spent her last months in Folsom, California, surrounded by loving family.

Betsy is preceded in death by her beloved husband John Callahan who called her “the best thing that ever happened to me.” Betsy and John were called “bright lights” in their Eugene community by their Methodist pastor.
Betsy is survived by her brother Jack (Dorothy) Wooddell, two sons by birth David (Maggie) Stewart, and James Stewart, five children by marriage Susan (David) Ojeda, John (Felipa) Callahan, James (Mary) Callahan, Patty (Duane) Weins and Steve Callahan, and many adoring grandchildren and great-children by marriage.
