James C. Kout

November 13, 1946 – May 10, 2022

Sacramento, California – On Tuesday, May 10, 2022, Jim Kout passed away at the age of 75 at UC Davis Hospital. Jim was born November 13, 1946, in Kansas City, MO to Cecil and Dorothy (nee Bowers) Kout.

Jim was preceded in death by both parents. He is survived by brother William Kout (AZ), longtime partner Judy Koop, son Nicholas (Kelley), daughter Kimberly Wright (William), Judy’s daughter Peggy Lawrence, grandchildren Taylor, Corrissa, Calahan, Jason; and 3 great-grandchildren.

USAF retired having served 20 years, State of California Correctional Officer, parole agent, and most recently self-employed private investigator.

When most people brought home stray dogs, Jim brought home new cars every couple of years. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and enjoyed watching car races and reading.

Cremation with All Faith Cremation will be followed with Military honors being scheduled at the Sacramento Valley National Cemetery of Dixon, CA on Friday, July 15 at 11:15 am. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Cancer Society.
