With deep sorrow and hearts full of love, the family of Jonathan Luis Matias announces his passing on Wednesday, March 22, 2023.

Jonathan was born on April 25, 1974 in New Jersey. He was a loving son, father, brother, nephew, grandson and friend. Jonathan will be remembered for his kind heart, hearty laugh and straight forward, unapologetic demeanor. While some may find him intimidating, he is one who was generous and always willing to help anyone in need.

Jonathan will be missed by his mother, Margarita; his son Jonathan and daughter Hira, and son Nathaniel; as well as his grandchildren, Hazel, Mason, and Analayla. He will equally be missed by his loving siblings and their families, many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

The family is planning a celebration of life in California and New Jersey.
