Leonaida "Aida" Llarinas Lee, 63, of San Francisco passed away peacefully on September 24, 2019, with her family by her side after a 14 month battle with lung cancer. She was born to Pedro and Juanita Llarinas, in San Juan, Philippines and was the second born of nine siblings. In 1970, the family immigrated to San Francisco where they settled in the mission district. She graduated from Mission High School and began working in administration for the City and County of San Francisco, which developed into a career in public service spanning more than thirty years. She loved her family and would often take her daughters on the bus to window shop, enjoy lunch and explore all that the city had to offer.
After meeting at a summer job, Leonaida married Donald Lee and they remained together until his passing in 2015. Leonaida is survived by her daughters: Roxanne and Tiffany and will be remembered with love by her six grandchildren, Daylah, Orson, Ferris, Greyson, Ryland and Parker.Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service celebrating her life on Sunday, October 20, 2019 at 5 p.m. at Cypress Lawn in South San Francisco.
