Norma Esther White

Norma Chavez White passed on 09-11-2025 after a 14-year journey with dementia. Her final moments were spent peacefully.  She had a contagious laugh and was full of love for all.  Known for her nurturing kindness and positivity, she will be greatly missed.
Norma was raised in Vallejo and attended St Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church and School. She grew up in a very close family that included 7 siblings.
Norma is survived by her 5 children: Nancy Mather (Jerry), Suzanne White (Tom), Bob White (Mindy), Chuck White (Cherisse), and Tony White (Sally). She is survived by 11 grandchildren: Justin, Chris, Katy, Garrick, Kennedy, Kelsey, Spencer, Kylie, MacKenzie, Dakota, and Hunter.  She is survived by 4 great grandchildren: Josiah, Malaya, Jaden and Casey.  She is pre-deceased by her husband, Robert, to whom she was married for 60 years and her grandchild, Montana.
Norma worked with Special Ed students in the San Juan Unified School District for 29 years.
She loved to bake as often as possible and shared her goodies with everyone! She is well known for her Dirt Dessert and Carrot Cake recipes.
She has been called home to be with God and her family members who have gone before her.  May she rest in peace.
A Mass for mom will be said on Saturday, December 13th at noon at St Ignatius Loyola Church, 3235 Arden Way in Sacramento.  
In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation to the Alzheimer’s Aid Society of Northern CA and/or VITAS Community Connection – Sacramento location.  VITAS not only offers kind and loving hospice care, but also helps grieving family members with groceries, utilities, travel to visit a dying loved one, etc.  Thank you in advance for your thoughtfulness.
