I just read about Randy in the Sac News and Review in an article about homeless deaths in Sacramento.

I suddenly remembered this guy who I used to see walking around the Capitol with litter he had picked up in his hands. He looked like someone I served in the Air Force with, so that's why I noticed him.

He always had a pleasant demeanor on his face (okay, maybe it was a smirk), but I wanted to say Thank you to him for helping keep our city a little cleaner. (I wish that others who find themselves homeless in town would do likewise.)

That says a lot about his dignify.

I believe in a glorious life after death, and it's comforting to know that he is in a better place!

RIP Randy! Your efforts were noticed by others out there! And thanks Sac News and Review for memorializing him.

Although it is nearly a year since randy passed, I just found out. I'm sad that randy is gone. He was a gentle soul. I'm proud of him for turning his life around and for making the world a better place.randy teased me a lot in high school, but he was always kind and fun. I was sorry we lost touch after high school. I tried to find him from time to time but had no luck. My deep condolences to Randy's family.

I too went to middle and high school with Randy, and was present on those on bike fishing trips to Del Valle. Additionally, Randy and I spent alot of time together having fun driving around in his baby blue Ford Falcon out on the back roads of Livermore, Morgan Territory Rd was one of our favorite's. I lost track of him shortly after school ended and have often wondered if him. In the Sac Bee article, someone mentioned his"ruddy face and seemingly permanent smirk", that was Randy to the "T". I will continue to miss him. My deepest condolences to his family, especially his Mother. I, as well, have lost a child. Sincerely, Ron King

I knew Randy back in middle school and high school days. We would ride our bikes to Del Valle and fish. He got me a job gas station were he worked in HS. He always had a job in HS, I remembered that he graduated early after his junior year. Never seen him again. I was hoping he would show up at one of our HS reunions but never did.
Sorry for your loss.
